Performances will take place on June 11that 3PM (Mission San Jose) and 7:30 PM (San Fernando Cathedral. This momentous event of international collaboration to facilitate educational exchange, to foster Hispanic American culture, and to promote the awareness of the historical, musical and architectural wealth of the New Spain is presented in collaboration with the Archdiocese of San Antonio. The repertoire will include musical selections from the Latin American Baroque, including Ignacio de Jerusalém's Misa de Infantes, written in the 18th century for the Cathedral of Mexico, contemporary to the construction of San Antonio’s missions; music from the rich historical musical archives of the Conservatorio de las Rosas; and music by contemporary Michoacan composers.
