Opera Hispánica Festival, the nation’s premier festival of Hispanic opera, presents an exciting month of events including the concert, Pasiones! The Pulse of Zarzuela featuring renowned Cuban-soprano, Eglise Gutiérrez (Royal Opera House at Covent Garden, Teatro Liceu, Caramoor Festival) at the Americas Society on March 8 and a company premiere of Astor Piazzolla’s sultry tango-opera, Maria de Buenos Aires at Le Poisson Rouge on March 15 & 17.
